My name is Enrique Muller, it is a pleasure to introduce myself as a candidate for president of the Sky Lake & Highland Lakes Area Homeowners Association.

I was born and raised in Venezuela and came to the United States in the late nineties to pursue my dream of following in my father’s footsteps and become a dentist. I earned my degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine at Boston University and went on to pursue specialization and advanced graduate studies in Periodontology and Implantology also at BU. I am currently in Private Practice in Aventura.

I moved with my wife and young son into the Sky Lake area 8 years ago and my daughter was born here. We purchased our home in the Oak Forest area 7 years ago and have loved it and the neighborhood ever since. I am very passionate about improving the quality of life in the area where we all live so my family can have the best community possible surrounding them.

I am an active member in local, state and federal organized dentistry and had the opportunity of being president of the entire South Florida District Dental Association. I also serve as a delegate to the FDA and I am familiar with volunteer organizations in general.

My hope is to be able to bring my experience with large organized dentistry associations to our beloved HOA.

HOA General Membership Meeting February 2, 2022

The Sky Lake Highland Lakes Area HOA will be holding our first general member meeting of the new year on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, via Zoom at 7:30PM.

We are expecting many of our local government officials to attend including representatives from Miami-Dade Police, Kent Security, Commissioner Heyman’s office, State Senator Pizzo’s office, State Rep. Benjamin’s office, School Board Member Lucia Baez-Geller, MDPD and FDOT.

Members attending the meeting will have the opportunity to ask questions in the chat box for officials to answer.

2021 HOA Board Elections Vote

Generally, the HOA has its annual membership meeting and election of officers and directors for the calendar year in early February. But this year will be different due to necessary Corona Virus protocols.

So that members can still vote, the proposed slate of officers and directors, as developed over several weeks by the nominating committee, is listed at the bottom of this post.

Our by-laws provide that only members who have paid their annual dues ($30) are entitled to vote. So, we ask that members entitled to vote review the slate and send an email with your name and the word “approve” if you vote for the slate. If you choose to not vote for the slate, you may so indicate. The deadline to vote is 5:00 pm on Feb. 5, 2021. The results of the vote will be announced at the Board meeting on February 10, 2021.
